Marvelously located in the Wehra river valley, Wehr not only offers a wide range of cultural and athletic activities but also a highly attractive and intact natural landscape. Wehr‘s dynamic economy as well as its active community furthermore enhance the already high living standards and overall quality of life in both of our city districts, Wehr and Öflingen.
Wehr was first mentioned in records in 1092 and is thus more than 900 years old. In 1950 we received our town charter and in 1972 the suburb of Öflingen was incorporated into the actual city. www.wehr.de
